"I Want It Faster" is track one of our Perpetual Motion Machine EP, kicking things off like I just started the car and I don't know where the road will take me. I wrote the lyrics to this song across state lines, at a time when I was on tour with three different projects. I was channeling the giddiness of moving to Nashville from my home town, and also the danger of leaving my more lucrative projects to pursue my original music. Writing this song helped me decide it was time to move on, unapologetically, because I felt so free in singing the lyrics. I started to believe it was possible to live fearlessly like the girl I was writing about.
